DESCRIERE

An Encyclopedia of Adverse Reactions and Interactions

When Leo Meyler published his first edition of Side Effects of Drugs in 1952, it was unique in the world. Remarkably, despite the vast world-wide increase in interest in adverse drug reactions, the series has remained unique throughout the years.

Named after its founder, Meyler's Side Effects of Drugs has been published every four years since 1980, and it consolidates the findings contained in previous editions plus the four Side Effects of Drugs Annuals that precede its publication. 'Meyler' provides a critical encyclopaedic survey of the entire field of adverse drug reactions. The vast amount of data is presented in a structured and readable form. Two indexes (drugs and adverse effects) make the book easily accessible.

The 15th edition has been extensively reorganized and expanded into 6 volumes. 'Meyler' has become the reference tool for pharmacists and clinical pharmacologists. This edition has been formatted alphabetically and will be available online via ScienceDirect. The online version will provide the user with an unparalleled depth of coverage by offering enhanced features including the ability to locate information by browsing, search, and through the use of dynamic linking.

Meyler's Side Effects of Drugs is an invaluable source of information, not only for those working in the field of pharmacovigilance but for clinicians in areas as widespread as dermatology, neuroscience, endocrinology, and all other medical disciplines.

While this reference provides comprehensive information about the entire field, the Side Effects of Drugs Annual is published every year and presents the scientific community with an overview of all that is truly new in the field.
