Virtual Physiology (Series, 5 interactive simulation CD-ROMs: SimNerv, SimMuscle, SimVessel, SimHeart and SimPatch)

The Virtual Physiology series consists of 5 interactive simulation CD-ROMs: SimNerv, SimMuscle, SimVessel, SimHeart and SimPatch. The series covers the entire field of nerve-muscle physiology and simulates all of the classic experiments conducted by medical, dental, veterinary, zoology, and science students.

Each CD-ROM has a carefully defined goal:
- SimNerv presents the fundamentals of nerve stimulation
- SimMuscle explains with the mechanisms of the striated musculature
- SimVessel focuses on the pharmacology and physiology of smooth musculature
- SimHeart covers cardiac contractions
- SimPatch examines the activity of ion channels

Designed to promote practice-oriented learning, the Virtual Physiology Series is the optimal introduction to live laboratory work and an ideal alternative to animal-based experiments.


System Requirements

IBM-compatible PC: IBM-compatible PC with coprocessor at least 486DX with 40 Mhz, 12 MB RAM, Windows 3.1x or Windows 95, CD-ROM drive (2 speed), Sound Card, 14" monitor with at least 256 colors (32K recommended)
Compatible with all Windows versions up to Windows XP. Compatibility with Windows Vista is currently under evaluation.

Macintosh: Apple Macintosh with coprocessor (minimal: "Quadra") with at least 33 Mhz or Power Macintosh ("PowerPC"), 12 MB RAM, System 7 or higher, CD-ROM driver (2 speed), 14" monitor and at least 256 colors (32K recommended)
